HELP PAGE

Walkie-Lookie™ differs from most video download sites in three major ways:
  • Everything we offer is original, first-run content
  • Content is customized for personal video devices (the small screen)
  • The website is designed primarily to support download of files for personal video devices
This help page is a quick-read on how our site works. For a more detailed description, check out the FAQ (click above). There are only three types of pages at walkie-lookie.com, and only two you need to know to find content and download it.

Information Pages

Examples: This page (Help page), Main page, FAQ, Actor's corner, etc.
These pages are plain old web pages that give you information, show you pictures and (because we all have to eat) sometimes try to sell you something).

Video Menu Page

Examples: [FONT RED] None online. Its what you'll be sent to at rollout when you click on Lookies(Video Menu) from any main menu bar.
This is the master selection page where you browse for video content you might want to watch or download to your portable video device. This page provides brief descriptions of the categories of video content, and lists the titles of individual lookies. These titles are really hotlinks to View and Load Pages. (TEXT RED Note: This page is hidden until our official roll out. Until then, you link directly to "advance lookie" pages from a box on the main page).

View and Load Pages

Every available lookie has its own view and load page. Here is where you find more detailed information about the lookie, a still frame and text description, and a medium-resolution flash player to preview it (should play when clicked without stuttering on most broadband connections--if not, just wait a while and it will completely load), If this is sponsored, there's an ad for the nice folks who paid to offer it to you free. On the left side of the page, there is the column that (along with original material) sets us apart from the other video sites: a list of devices that we support (or plan to support at rollout). Find the model number of your device and click on it, and your browser should offer to download the file that we believe is the best fit for your device. Want more information? There's a detailed description in the FAQ (click above .
